Born in 2022 under the name nkarchive, my father and I created our first collection from the ground up, beginning with hand-drafted patterns and the full production of our triple-black and triple-white sweatpants.
Although the brand began in 2022, the foundation behind it was built decades earlier. After immigrating to America, my father began producing childrens clothing locally in Los Angeles and selling wholesale throughout the city’s garment districts. His dedication to craftsmanship, hard work, and doing things the right way became the foundation I grew up around.
Today, I carry that same approach forward. Every piece is developed and produced locally in Los Angeles, working alongside a small curated production team. There is something special about building relationships with the people behind the work, learning from one another, and watching an idea move from an idea into something real.
When we started this company together, however, it was something completely new for both of us. My father had never produced menswear and I was entering a new field of my own, while my father was stepping into one alongside me. Today, I run the company and oversee the creative direction, business, and day-to-day operations, while my father continues to work closely with me on production and the hands-on side of making our garments.
As a two-person team running the company day to day we learn, adapt, and grow together, always putting our best foot forward.
In many ways, this company has become a timeless reflection of the connection between my father and me. It has given us a common ground to create, work, and build something together—while bringing new ideas and new forms of art into the world.
At the heart of everything we make is a simple belief: prioritize quality, make things with intention, and create pieces meant to last.
